Creamed Silverbeet or Spinach Recipe
Starting something new.
As I harvest out of my garden I want to try different recipes as well. Growing up we at lots of veggies & over the years carried on making my mother did or how my my mother in law made it. It is time to become more adventurous.
Ingredients
1 teaspoon butter
2 teaspoons crushed garlic (next year I want to grow my own)
1 bunch silverbeet or spinach sliced
2 tablespoons cream
3 tablespoons parmesan cheese
Method
Heat the butter in a pan & gentle, very gentle cook the garlic, about a minute.
Add the sliced best & toss it until it is wilted.
Add the cream & cheese & heat gently.
Season with salt & pepper.
Serve immediately

So far I have had a successful vegetable and flower garden. I have now sowed some more seeds to see how I do with a second crop. I don't usually plant so close to autumn cause some years winter come too soon and I am always afraid I loose everything to frost. I now know that I am a very untidy gardener & my back yard becomes a jungle, hubby is not a fan but I love it & feel proud. I seriously need to learn to plant less tomatoes, being the only one in the house that eats them. I enjoy giving excess vegetables away, I love the feeling.

Rae gave me roses for my birthday, white & yellow out of her garden. The smell was so amazing & now I am trying to grow them. Also trying to grow a wisteria bonsai. Tried last year but it died now trying again.
